Our felted wool shoes feature a completely unique combination of the good warm properties of natural wool and the superb comfort and shock absorption of EnergySole™.
The wool is hand-felted in Nepal, where the production of our wool slippers takes place. The wool is gently felted in warm soapy water. This helps to preserve the wool’s high lanolin content, ensuring that the wool isn’t scratchy and is easy to keep clean. Normal maintenance is carried out by brushing and airing the shoes, but they can easily withstand a wash. All production of course takes place without the use of chemicals or synthetic substances, and production provides work for a large number of women in Nepal, an impoverished mountainous country.
